I can't ping my Fairino Robot!

How to ensure proper connection to your Fairino Robot

When attempting to ping your robot to verify connection, you must ensure that the following checklist has been ticked:

1) The robot is powered on with the E-Stop undone (turn clockwise to clear it, must be power cycled after clearing).

2) Your robot is connected to your computer via ethernet (either to the button box or the control box)

NOTE: The IP address changes from using the ethernet port on the button box (192.168.58.2) and the control box itself (192.168.57.2)

3) The IP address of your computer matches the IP address of your target ethernet port.

      - To change your IP address, navigate to you computers network settings and find the Ethernet port you are using to connect to the robot. For your IPv4 address, select "static IP" and enter any IP address matching the subnet of "192.168.58.x" or add the static IP address to your connection if you are already using multiple addresses.

4) In a terminal, try to ping the robot using "ping 192.168.58.2" and ensure that the return message from the terminal says "Pinging from 192.168.58.x" to confirm your IP was correctly set

If you complete this check list and are still unable to ping your robot/control box, create a support ticket at support.devonics.com

Thank you and Happy Hacking!
